BNU Media Fest – A Two-Day Celebration of Creativity & Talent
The First-Ever BNU Media Fest 2025, hosted by the School of Media & Mass Communication (SMC), Beaconhouse National University, marked a historic milestone for the university — bringing together creative minds, filmmakers, storytellers, and media enthusiasts from 30+ institutions across Pakistan, along with international participants from Cairo, Indonesia, and beyond.
SMC Talks: Sonic Narratives with Rohail Javed
As part of the SMC Talks series, the School of Media and Mass Communication at BNU hosted an immersive workshop titled Sonic Narratives — Sound Design and Scoring for Film and Digital Medium. UK-based music producer and composer Mr. Rohail Javed shared his expertise, guiding students on how sound shapes emotion, narrative, and cinematic storytelling.
Hands-On Workshop on Cinematography and Camera Angling
Dr. Rabia Noor, Head of Program for Journalism and Media Studies, led a hands-on workshop on cinematography and camera angling for her TV Production class. Students applied practical techniques in framing, camera movement, and outdoor production, transforming classroom theory into real-world skills while developing critical and creative approaches to visual storytelling.
Beyond the Prompt: Mastering AI in Creative Production
As part of the SMC Talks series, BNU alumnus and Yorker Creative Director Muhammad Ubaida Khan delivered an engaging workshop titled Beyond the Prompt: Mastering AI for Creative Production. The session explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping storytelling, design, and media production, offering students practical insights into integrating creativity with emerging technologies.
