On the fourth and final day of Mental Health Week, the Institute of Psychology at BNU organized a charitable endeavor to supply essential hygiene items to patients at Fountain House. Students assembled 342 care packages filled with necessities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, combs, snacks, and gift cards. Female patients were pleasantly surprised to find lipsticks included in their bags. The visit to Fountain House kicked off with a comprehensive tour, showcasing the facility's various wards and recreational spaces tailored to engage patients. Following the tour, students distributed the care packages to female patients, who responded with heartfelt appreciation, offering hugs and prayers in gratitude. The inclusion of lipsticks was especially well-received. Afterwards, the distribution continued to the male addiction wards, where male patients likewise expressed their thanks and joy at receiving the thoughtful gifts. The visit concluded with Dr. Imran Murtaza, Medical superintendent of Fountain House delivering a discourse on Altruism and Gratitude, followed by a token of appreciation presented to the students and faculty.
