From BNU Gold Medalist to UPenn Scholar: Celebrating the Achievements of Ammar Shahid We are immensely proud to highlight the remarkable accomplishments of Ammar Shahid, an outstanding graduate from the Institute of Psychology at BNU. A shining example of our psychology program's excellence, Ammar graduated in 2021 as a gold medalist with a thesis distinction, setting the bar high for academic excellence. Ammar's journey beyond BNU has been truly exceptional and inspirational. He pursued his passion for psychology by completing his M.S.Ed. in Counseling and Mental Health Services at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. Not content with stopping there, he is currently pursuing an M.Phil. in Education from the same institution, a testament to his unwavering commitment to personal and academic growth. His dedication has earned him multiple roles at the University of Pennsylvania, where he serves as a Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Counseling Lab Assistant, and Graduate Resident Advisor. In addition, Ammar is making a real-world impact through his counseling practice and internship at West Catholic Preparatory High School, as well as his involvement with Intercultural Family Services.
