The School of Management Sciences (SMS) at BNU hosted an insightful session on “Climate Smart Agriculture”, conducted by Mr. Muhammad Firas Shams, Research Associate at BIPP, who specializes in public policy and climate-related research. The session offered students a grounded understanding of agricultural resilience, policy frameworks, and sustainability in the context of climate change.
Mr. Shams provided valuable insights into how climate change intersects with governance, food security, and rural livelihoods. He emphasized the need for adaptive strategies that reduce agricultural vulnerability and promote sustainable development across farming systems.
Students explored climate-resilient agricultural practices, innovative policy approaches, and the role of research in shaping future-ready solutions. The session encouraged participants to think critically about environmental challenges and the responsibility of informed citizens in building sustainable, climate-conscious societies.
