Beaconhouse National University (BNU) is proud to share that Hania Imran, a student of the Department of Liberal Arts (DLA), represented the University at the UN Climate Negotiations (SB62) in Bonn, Germany (2025) through the People’s Climate Change Diplomacy Program, a justice-centered initiative that empowers youth participation in UNFCCC processes.
During the two-week summit, Hania actively contributed to discussions on just transition, collaborated on drafting an intervention for the Women and Gender Constituency, and performed a climate justice poem at the Bonn Climate Camp. She also co-led a workshop on financing youth climate organizations, amplifying the role of young voices in shaping climate discourse. Her engagement extended beyond negotiations to global protest actions, where she joined activists from across the world in calling for urgent climate justice. Hania’s participation reflects BNU’s vision of cultivating socially conscious leaders who bring critical perspectives, creative expression, and collaborative solutions to the most pressing global challenges.
