Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has achieved remarkable global recognition by securing shortlists in two categories at the prestigious QS Reimagine Education Awards 2026. Out of more than 2,200 international submissions evaluated by over 1,000 expert judges, all four submitted BNU initiatives ranked in the top 25% worldwide.

Earning a spot in the top 25% among more than 2,200 entries judged by 1,000 global experts reflects the real-world depth and originality of BNU’s initiatives. For BNU, this milestone reinforces its strategy to integrate sustainability, diversity, and technology into core academic frameworks. On a national level, it provides a compelling case study for Pakistani higher education, proving that locally driven academic solutions can achieve internationally recognized excellence and inspire institutional reform across the country.

In the Sustainability Education Action Award category, BNU earned shortlists for three standout initiatives reflecting its commitment to environmental stewardship. Assistant Professor Werdah Munib (School of Media and Mass Communication) and team member Moeid Rashid were recognized for Green Carry. Senior Assistant Professor Naureen Zaman (School of Education) was shortlisted for SDGs Through Language Teaching, alongside Nooria Shiraz (Office of Research, Innovation and Partnerships) for leading BNU – Pakistan’s First WWF Certified EcoSmart Campus.

Demonstrating leadership in equitable learning, BNU also secured a shortlisted spot for the Access, Diversity & Inclusion Award. Assistant Professor Werdah Munib, alongside team members Bisma Aamir, Nisha Humayun, Eesha Javaid, and Yahya Salman, was honored for Tech Baji—an impactful project advancing digital literacy and empowerment.
