Beaconhouse National University hosted Ecofest 2026, bringing together creativity, responsibility, and innovation as students showcased impactful ideas for a sustainable future. Led by Ms. Werdah Munib, Assistant Professor at the School of Media and Mass Communication, the initiative highlighted how youth-led concepts can effectively drive meaningful environmental change.
Over 40 student projects across various faculties were presented, including 15 dedicated initiatives by SMC focusing on environmental studies and community media. From localized media programs to actionable solutions for environmental challenges, participants demonstrated practical ways to address pressing ecological concerns through innovative, community-focused projects.
The Vice Chancellor visited the stalls to commend the students' dedication, while representatives from Suthra Punjab and government departments offered encouragement. Officials urged students to develop their project models into real-time startups, reinforcing BNU’s commitment to advancing environmental sustainability through active academic and public-sector collaboration.
