As a faculty member, she is known for bridging critical theory with creative design methodologies. Her teaching portfolio includes a wide range of courses such as architectural history and theory, structural design, drawing and communication, research methodologies, and multiple levels of architectural design studios.

She has presented at a number of prominent academic conferences, including AMPS conferences in Prague and Toronto, the Space International Conference on Architecture and Design Education in London, and the Design Communication Association (DCA) Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Her work explores pedagogical innovation, architectural representation, and phenomenological approaches to space and education. She consistently advocates for redefining learning environments to cultivate architects equipped for complex futures.
In parallel with her academic career, Sara maintains an active design practice, having worked with Kalim Siddique & Associates and led various residential and interior design projects across Lahore. She also brings a cross-disciplinary background through her previous role as a language and art educator at Lahore Grammar School. Through her academic, professional, and creative pursuits, Sara Assad continues to contribute meaningfully to the architectural discourse at RHSA, encouraging students to approach design with critical rigor, contextual sensitivity, and imaginative inquiry.
