Mr. Sheharyar Zahid is a filmmaker, producer, and screenwriter, currently serving as the Acting Head of the Department of Theatre, Film & Television at the School of Media and Mass Communication, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore. With extensive experience across feature films, television, digital commercials, music videos, short films, and documentaries, Mr. Zahid brings a versatile approach to cinematic storytelling and media education.
He holds a BFA in Film & Television from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore, and a Master’s degree in Film Studies from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, where he was awarded the prestigious Stipendium Hungarium Scholarship. His creative portfolio includes work as a screenwriter, director, cinematographer, and production manager, reflecting a hands-on understanding of all aspects of filmmaking.
At BNU, Mr. Zahid mentors emerging filmmakers, develops curricula, and contributes to the growth of contemporary cinema education in Pakistan. His work has been recognized for its artistic merit and technical excellence, particularly in short films, music videos, documentaries, and digital commercials.
