Mr. Ijaz Hussain, an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan and a graduate of Government College University, Lahore, joined BNU in 2007. With 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration, his interests include Economics, Accounting, and Finance.

Bio

Mr. Ijaz Hussain is a seasoned academic and finance professional, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Management Sciences at the School of Management Sciences, Beaconhouse National University (BNU). With over 30 years of rich experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, he has established himself as a respected authority in the fields of Economics, Accounting, and Finance. He holds an Associate membership with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ACMA) and a Master’s degree in Economics from Government College University, Lahore.

Since joining BNU in 2007, Mr. Hussain has played a transformative role in shaping academic programs and institutional policy. He has designed and led undergraduate and graduate programs in business, economics, and finance, while also managing departmental affairs with a focus on academic excellence and innovation. His teaching portfolio includes key subjects such as macroeconomics, managerial accounting, and financial analysis.

Mr. Hussain’s research contributions are extensive, with publications in leading journals such as The Lahore Journal of Economics, Pakistan Business Review, and the Journal of Business Economics and Management. His work spans corporate finance, banking sector performance, non-performing loans, and macroeconomic influences on business sectors. He has also contributed to various national and international research initiatives funded by HEC, USAID, GIZ, and UNDP, addressing key governance and development issues in Pakistan.

Complementing his academic credentials, Mr. Hussain holds international certifications in Data Science from HarvardX and Corporate Finance from the University of Melbourne, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and interdisciplinary expertise.
