Mr. Aizaz Hussain

Aizaz Hussain leads policy implementation and strategic projects at BNU and is an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Seeta Majeed School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. As a PhD Candidate at Sciences Po (Paris), his research explores how transnational mega-infrastructure projects reshape ethnic communities, with a focus on Pakistan.

Bio

Aizaz Hussain leads the policy implementation and strategic projects at the Beaconhouse National University and is an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Seeta Majeed School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. As a PhD Candidate at Sciences Po (Paris), he explores the impact of transnational mega-infrastructure projects on ethnic communities, with a particular focus on Pakistan. He was a Visiting PhD Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and has taught political science and international relations courses at Sciences Po, Beaconhouse National University, and the University of Lahore. His research interests further span Geoeconomics, Geopolitics, Terrorism, Nationalism, Hybrid Regimes, and Populism.

Beyond academia, Aizaz has served as a Policy Consultant with the Office of the National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan. His writings have been published in the University of Oxford’s St. Antony's International Review, The Stimson Center’s South Asian Voices, The Express Tribune, and The Friday Times. Aizaz holds an MA in Political Science from the Central European University (Austria) and a BS (Hons) in Political Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (Pakistan).
