Mehmil Ishtiaq is a visual communication designer specializing in illustration and animation. Her work explores storytelling through dynamic visuals, showcased in exhibitions like The Body Displaced and Envision, E–Vision. She has also contributed as a speaker at the Design Summit Prologue and MicroPOM Conference.
Mehmil Ishtiaq is a Lahore-based visual communication designer with a passion for illustration and animation. She earned her MA in Art and Design Studies from Beaconhouse National University in 2022 and has since been teaching at the Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts & Design at BNU. Alongside her academic role, she continues to refine her creative practice, exploring diverse visual storytelling techniques.
Beyond academia, Mehmil has actively contributed to design discourse as a speaker at events such as the Design Summit Prologue and the MicroPOM Conference. Her work has also been showcased in group exhibitions, including The Body Displaced and Envision, E–Vision, reflecting her engagement with contemporary visual culture.
In addition to her teaching and artistic endeavors, Mehmil takes on freelance projects as a layout designer and copy editor. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to navigate both commercial and independent creative spaces, blending design, narrative, and critical thought in her work.
