Fatima’s undergraduate thesis, advised by Dr. Gulzar Haider, exemplifies her critical engagement with architectural memory and urban identity—reimagining a mosque as a cultural and civic anchor in Lahore’s historical urban fabric. A team member in award-winning initiatives like the Ark-Shack-a-thon (NCSU & Habitat for Humanity, USA), she has consistently participated in innovative construction and community-based design projects. Her work spans commercial, residential, and institutional design, always grounded in contextual sensitivity and a deep appreciation for material and spatial storytelling.
As an artist, Fatima has exhibited her work in major group shows such as Reframe the Print, Embracing Paradoxes, and Emerging Talent, reflecting a keen interest in materiality, memory, and paradoxes of the everyday. Her photographic and digital print artworks have been collected by Ambiance Hotels and presented in national and international art platforms. She has contributed academic writing to the AMPS journal, including essays on transformative pedagogy and digital art as a tool for architectural teaching. Passionate about interdisciplinary learning, Fatima Zahra continues to bridge design education and artistic practice, fostering reflective, critical, and socially responsible architectural thinking.
