Dr. Muhammad Umer Anwaar is an Assistant Professor at SCIT, Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, with over 10 years’ experience in data science, AI, and machine learning. Educated in Europe, he has industry and research experience in Germany, applying advanced and generative AI to large-scale, multimodal, and graph-based systems and applications.
Dr. Muhammad Umer Anwaar is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer & Information Technology (SCIT), Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore. He brings over 10 years of professional and research experience in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, with an academic background from leading European institutions.
He has extensive industry and research experience in applied AI, having worked in Germany on large-scale B2B and B2G e-procurement platforms, public procurement systems, and government-funded collaborative research projects. His work focuses on applying advanced machine learning and generative AI techniques to solve real-world problems involving large-scale, multimodal, and graph-structured data.
His research interests include machine learning, generative AI, large language models, knowledge graphs, multimodal data representation, natural language processing, and data-driven decision systems. Alongside his academic role, he continues to actively engage in industry–academia collaboration.
Dr. Anwaar has published 9 peer-reviewed research papers in leading international conferences in the field of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, including IEEE/CVF WACV, ACM Multimedia, ECML PKDD, ICPR, and ACM International Conference on Multimodal Interaction.
