Muhammad Shahbaz Khan is an educator, researcher, and trainer with over 20 years of experience in educational leadership, technology integration, and teacher development. A PhD from the University of Leicester, he currently serves as Assistant Professor and Head of Educational Leadership at BNU, focusing on transformative pedagogy, research, and professional development.
Muhammad Shahbaz Khan is a seasoned educator, academic, and trainer with over two decades of experience in teaching, educational leadership, curriculum innovation, and capacity development. He currently serves as Assistant Professor and Head of Educational Leadership and Management at the School of Education, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore. A Commonwealth Scholar, he earned his PhD in Education from the University of Leicester, UK, and holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Management from BNU, along with a BS in Computer Science from LUMS.
At BNU, Dr. Khan has designed and taught a diverse range of MPhil and undergraduate courses in educational leadership, technology integration, assessment, and research methods. He actively supervises MPhil dissertations, leads short courses for professional development, and contributes to institutional governance through service on various academic boards. His pedagogical style emphasizes reflective practice, technological relevance, and interdisciplinary inquiry.
His previous roles include teaching and curriculum design positions at The City School, where he led instructional technology integration and corporate training initiatives. He also taught at LUMS and played a vital role in the National Outreach Programme. As a lifelong trainer and founder of Treadstone – Academic & Professional Development Center, Dr. Khan has conducted numerous workshops on leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, and 21st-century learning skills, engaging diverse audiences from students to corporate professionals.
Dr. Khan’s research interests center on the meaningful use of technology in education, teacher development, and comparative education systems. He has published internationally and contributed to several innovative projects and awareness campaigns through entrepreneurial ventures like Cinestone and We Educate 1.1. With multilingual abilities, a flair for gamification, and a passion for lifelong learning, he continues to shape educational discourse with creativity, insight, and deep commitment to transformative education.
