Dr. Imran Sharif, Assistant Professor at BNU’s School of Management Sciences, holds a PhD in Management from UTM Malaysia. With extensive teaching, research, and industry experience, he has published in reputed journals, presented internationally, and consults for SMEs. His expertise spans organizational behavior, leadership, strategic management, and entrepreneurship.

Bio

Dr. Imran Sharif is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Sciences, School of Management Sciences, Beaconhouse National University (BNU). He earned his PhD in Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and has over eight years of post-doctoral academic and research experience. Passionate about teaching and knowledge creation, he has built a strong academic portfolio that integrates theory with practice, particularly in the areas of organizational behavior, strategic management, leadership, marketing, and human resource management. His teaching approach is enriched by his diverse professional background, blending rigorous scholarship with practical insights gained from both corporate and entrepreneurial roles.

Over the years, Dr. Sharif has contributed to leading institutions across Pakistan, including the University of Lahore, where he served not only as an Assistant Professor but also as Director of MBA/MS Programs, Cluster Head of the Department of Management, and Head of the Data Analytics & Virtual Advance Research Lab. He has also held faculty positions at Riphah International University, the University of Central Punjab, and GC University Faisalabad. Beyond academia, his professional journey includes roles in the banking sector with Barclays Bank Dubai and Bank Islami Pakistan, along with leadership experience in managing a family-owned textile manufacturing business. This combination of industry and academic experience enables him to offer students a unique perspective on the application of management concepts in real-world contexts.

Dr. Sharif is an active researcher with publications in reputable international journals such as the Journal of Employment Counseling (ABDC-A), Frontiers in Psychology, Frontiers in Environmental Science, and the Geological Journal. His research primarily focuses on organizational behavior, leadership, employee well-being, stress management, green innovation, and strategic agility. He has presented his work at globally recognized platforms including the Academy of Management (AOM) and the British Academy of Management (BAM), with several of his recent studies currently under review in highly ranked journals such as Applied Psychology: An International Review and the Journal of Managerial Psychology. His commitment to advancing scholarship is further reflected in his role as a research fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia.

Alongside his academic contributions, Dr. Sharif is also engaged in professional consulting and training. He has worked with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) on business and marketing plan assessments, conducted training for Bank Alfalah employees, and collaborated with the Women Chamber of Commerce to promote women’s entrepreneurship. Recipient of the prestigious HEC PhD scholarship, he has also chaired international research conferences and continues to play an active role in strengthening the link between academia, industry, and society. His dedication to teaching, research, and consulting reflects a career driven by a vision to empower individuals and organizations through knowledge, innovation, and strategic insight.
