The ceremony began with a special video message from Dr. Moeed Yusuf, BNU's Vice Chancellor, extending his heartfelt welcome to the new students. This was followed by an inspiring address by Prof. Dr. Bushra H. Rahman, Dean SMC, who interacted with students and shared valuable insights to motivate them for the journey ahead.
The Heads of Programs, Dr. Rabia Noor (Department of Journalism and Mass Communication) and Mr. Sheharyar Zahid (Department of Theatre, Film & TV), introduced their departments, programs, and faculty members, ensuring students felt at home from the very start. Faculty members from both departments also shared words of encouragement and welcomed the new students to the SMC community.
The ceremony featured alumni interactions, where former students shared their university experiences and career journeys, offering inspiration and guidance to the incoming class. Adding to the excitement, students toured the SMC studios and labs, where they were introduced to the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities available to support their academic and creative pursuits.
The event concluded on a warm note as the Dean and faculty members engaged in a lively Q&A session with students.
