On October 22, 2024, the Seeta Majeed School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences (SLASS) at BNU held a successful book launch event and panel discussion for Prof. Dr. Tahir Kamran's new work, Chequered Past, Uncertain Future: The History of Pakistan. The event highlighted Dr. Kamran’s insightful exploration of Pakistan’s historical complexities and future trajectories.
The discussion was expertly moderated by Dr. Farooq Suleheria, Assistant Professor at SLASS. Distinguished panelists included Dr. Akmal Hussain, Professor at BNU’s School of Management Sciences, and Dr. Yunus Samad, Professor of South Asian Studies at LUMS. Each offered thought-provoking perspectives on Pakistan’s socio-political landscape, aligning with the themes of Dr. Kamran’s book.
