SE Welcomes MPhil Batch 2024-2026 with Insightful Orientation

The MPhil orientation for the School of Education’s (SE) new batch (2024-2026) was held on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The event was highly engaging, offering new students a glimpse into the vibrant world of academic exploration and professional growth. Several alumni also participated, sharing insights about their research and journey at SE, highlighting its impact on their professional growth.

The event began with a warm welcome from Professor Dr. Amra Raza, Dean of the School of Education. Ms. Shabana Ahmed, Head of Linguistics and TESOL, introduced the program, followed by student presentations by Sadia Shehzad on Validity of Assessment, where she discussed how her time at BNU transformed and enhanced her professional development. Hiziya Nasir presented her talk on Unraveling Challenges in Alzheimer’s Disease, while Ayaz Aslam, Director of the British Language Centre, reflected on how BNU shaped his career and contributed to the growth of his business. Dr. Shahbaz Khan, Head of Education Leadership and Management, delivered a visionary address, outlining the future direction of the graduate programs at SE. Additional student presentations by Fizza Siraj and Fakhira Shahid highlighted critical topics, such as SNC Textbook Analysis and the Challenges for Females in Higher Education. The audience was further inspired by Ali Raza, an entrepreneur and School Development Advisor, who shared his experience of running his schools and his vision for shaping the future of education. Dr. Shazia Humayun introduced the Success Lab and future plans for Edx, emphasizing the importance of professional development. The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Naureen Zaman, followed by tea and a networking session, leaving students motivated and excited to begin their academic journey at BNU.
