The Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design (MDSVAD), Beaconhouse National University (BNU), hosted its Orientation Day for the incoming Batch of 2025–2029. The event provided new students with an introduction to the school’s programs, faculty, and creative opportunities, fostering engagement and a sense of belonging within the academic community.
Prof. Rashid Rana, Dean MDSVAD, addressed the students, emphasizing that excellence in one’s field creates its own opportunities, regardless of job market constraints. He further underscored that art and design should be recognized not as hobbies but as disciplines of equal importance to politics, engineering, and policymaking.
The orientation also allowed new students to connect with peers, explore MDSVAD’s programs, and gain insight into the transformative journey ahead, reaffirming BNU’s commitment to nurturing creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary practice.
