Beaconhouse National University’s Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design (MDSVAD), in collaboration with the Lahore Digital Festival and the French Embassy in Pakistan, is hosting “Women vs Machines”—a powerful exhibition at the intersection of digital art, technology, and sports. The show celebrates the work of incredible artists and athletes, fostering dialogue through creative expression.
The exhibition will feature stunning works and interventions by artists: Amna Yaseen, Anusha Khalid, Audrey Richard-Laurent, Emil Hasnain, Justine Emard, Mahnoor Ali Shah, Tehreem Zafar, Vania Mazhar, and Zainab Hussain. Championing the spirit of resilience, passion, and power, the show also highlights trailblazing women athletes: Jehanara Nabi, Karishma Ali, Noorena Shams, Samar Khan, and Zenith Irfan—whose journeys embody strength, innovation, and courage in the face of challenges. The show opens on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Beaconhouse National University. It is free and open to all, welcoming audiences of all backgrounds to witness this dynamic convergence of art and sport. The exhibition continues until April 16, 2025, with daily timings from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (closed on Sunday). It is co-curated by MDSVAD faculty member Rohma Khan, visual artist Sara Rajper, and artist Fatima Butt. “Women vs Machines” is presented in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair on Inclusion through Art, led by Chairholder and Dean of MDSVAD, Mr. Rashid Rana.
