Dr. Shazia Humayun led a training session titled “The Neuroscience of Learning: Implications for Teaching Strategies” at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) on June 5, 2025. Organized by the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT), the session explored how insights from brain science can inform effective, research-based classroom practices.
The session drew active participation from UMT faculty and sparked thought-provoking discussions on how neural processes shape learning. Dr. Humayun emphasized the importance of applying neuroscience-informed strategies to foster deeper student engagement and retention. The training aimed to bridge theory and practice for more impactful teaching. Dr. Humayun expressed gratitude to Ms. Malahat Siddiqui and Dean CLT, Mr. Hamid Raza, for the invitation and commended the faculty’s enthusiasm. She appreciated the commitment shown toward enhancing pedagogical skills through evidence-based approaches.
