Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Media Matters for Democracy (MMfD), a prominent public research and advocacy initiative, aimed at advancing journalism and media development. This strategic partnership will foster training, research, mentorship, and collaboration, addressing contemporary challenges faced by media professionals.
Under this MoU, BNU and MMfD will jointly organize workshops, seminars, and advanced courses focused on skill enhancement for journalists. The collaboration will emphasize emerging media challenges and foster an environment for research and knowledge sharing, providing insights on journalism, media development, and freedom of expression. These findings will inform best practices and empower the media community. Additionally, the agreement establishes mentorship networks, connecting seasoned media professionals with aspiring journalists to facilitate knowledge transfer and career guidance. By bridging the gap between academia and the media industry, BNU and MMfD aim to offer practical opportunities for students and provide institutional support for media projects. The partnership will also allow shared use of resources to enhance collaborative efforts.
