BNU Faculty Wins Prestigious Media Studies Travel Grant 2025

Dr. Rabia Noor, Assistant Professor and Head of the Journalism & Mass Communication Program at the School of Media and Communication (SMC), Beaconhouse National University (BNU), has been awarded the esteemed Media Studies Travel Grant 2025 for her groundbreaking research on pioneering women news anchors and their role in shaping gender discourse on Pakistan Television (PTV).

With this honor, Dr. Rabia will represent BNU at the FIAT/IFTA World Conference in Rome, Italy, where she will present her research to an international audience. Her work not only underscores the cultural significance of women’s contributions to Pakistan’s broadcast history but also highlights the intersection of media, gender, and national identity.
