Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Citizens Foundation (TCF), one of Pakistan’s leading non-profit organizations in formal education. With over 1,833 schools across the country and an enrollment of 280,000 students, TCF is known for its commitment to providing quality education to underserved communities. This collaboration marks a significant step towards facilitating access to higher education for TCF alumni at BNU.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Vice Chancellor of BNU, and Sadaf Asir, General Manager Alumni Pathways at TCF. Also present were key TCF delegates, including Brig. Nadeem, General Manager Schools; Brig. Usman, Regional Manager North; Tazeen Arslan, Senior Manager Scholarship; Moiz Ahmed, Senior Manager Programs; Minahil Adeel, Manager Alumni Pathways; and Muhammad Imran Rana, Deputy Manager Alumni Pathways. Under the agreement, TCF alumni applying to BNU will have their admission application fees waived. Students who meet the academic threshold of 75% or above in Matric and Intermediate exams will receive a 25% waiver on tuition fees, renewable for four years. Those with exceptional academic performance—90% in FA/FSc or 3 As in A-levels—will qualify for a 75% merit scholarship, while students securing 80% or above or 2 As in A-levels will be eligible for a 50% merit scholarship. BNU will further support TCF alumni by facilitating internships during their third and fourth years of undergraduate studies, helping them gain valuable professional experience. The partnership underscores a shared commitment between BNU and TCF to foster educational opportunities for talented youth, empowering them to pursue their academic goals. This momentous step brings both institutions closer to their vision of making higher education more inclusive, thereby contributing to the broader development of Pakistan’s educational landscape.
