CEO Summit: Day 1 - Governance, Leadership, and Capacity Building

Day 1 of the CEO Summit, “Building Capacity - Embracing Change,” laid a strong foundation for empowering educational leaders with essential skills in governance, leadership, and capacity building. The sessions focused on equipping CEOs with practical strategies to navigate the complexities of Punjab’s public education system while fostering innovation and collaboration.

The day commenced with a session on key policies and frameworks for effective human resource management in the School Education Department, Punjab, led by Dr. Shazia Humayun, Assistant Professor and Head of EDx. This was followed by an engaging session by educationist and trainer Ms. Aqdas Aslam, which highlighted skills for stakeholder engagement and building collaborative relationships. Another impactful session, facilitated by Ms. Shabana Ahmed, Assistant Professor and HOD Linguistics and TESOL, emphasized leadership in team building and people management. Concluding the day’s sessions, Dr. Shazia Humayun explored the strategic role of CEOs as community ambassadors, emphasizing collaboration with school councils to enhance community engagement. The day ended with a visit to the Beaconhouse School System (BSS) Head Office, offering participants valuable insights into organizational operations and best practices. This immersive experience allowed district CEOs to witness firsthand the implementation of effective governance strategies and innovative educational approaches, setting the tone for the transformative week ahead.
