Beaconhouse National University (BNU) and DigitalOcean LLC invite proposals from credible Pakistani non-profit and social enterprises for a philanthropic signature initiative to drive inclusive entrepreneurship in Pakistan.

The initiative will work to build access and opportunities for underrepresented entrepreneurs, with a focus on women entrepreneurs in Pakistan. The program is aimed at supporting programs that are helping women in Pakistan to start, grow and build their businesses.

IP Marks World Mental Health Day with Awareness Walk and Bake Sale

The walk, which aimed to promote mental health awareness and encourage community support, saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. Participants walked through the campus, carrying banners and placards with messages advocating for mental health awareness and support. Following the walk, a bake sale was held, featuring a variety of homemade treats. The proceeds from the bake sale will be used to fund mental health initiatives. Dr. Ruhi Khalid emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a supportive community and reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues. The event was a significant step towards promoting mental health awareness and creating a supportive environment for individuals struggling with mental health.

BNU Economics Society Triumphs at Econ Titans '24

Teams from prominent universities, including The Punjab University, Government College University Lahore, Lahore School of Economics, and Forman Christian College University, participated in the event. BNU's team showcased their expertise in economics, critical thinking, and problem-solving, surpassing competitors from these well-known institutes in Lahore. This achievement highlights the dedication and talent of BNU's students and reinforces the university’s commitment to fostering excellence in academic and extracurricular pursuits. BNU Welcomes Japan Embassy Delegation for Academic Ties

The delegation was received by Vice Chancellor Dr. Moeed Yusuf, alongside Dr. Zainab Ahmed from the Seeta Majeed School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Ambassador (retd) Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Director of BNU Center for Policy Research, Mr. Zaeem Yaqoob Khan, Executive Director of Student Affairs and External Relations, and other senior faculty members. Dr. Moeed Yusuf shared BNU’s vision and achievements, emphasizing the university's commitment to global engagement. Discussions focused on fostering partnerships with Japanese universities, student exchange programs, and exploring grant opportunities through the Japanese Embassy. The delegation also interacted with final-year Liberal Arts students, creating prospects for enriching academic and cultural exchanges.

BNU Hosts Graduate Information Session with SUNY Polytechnic

Mr. Dawson offered detailed guidance on the admission process, outlining the requirements for both undergraduate and graduate applicants at SUNY Polytechnic. He also discussed various scholarship opportunities, explained the steps for applying, and highlighted the possibility of spot admissions. The issuance of the Initial I-20 for visa applications and comprehensive advice on CPT and OPT/STEM OPT for practical experience were also key topics of the session. Students actively participated in the Q&A segment, gaining practical insights into the F-1 visa interview and the DS-160 form. The session was well-received, particularly for its focus on scholarship options and post-graduation employment pathways. BNU remains committed to collaborating with international institutions like SUNY Polytechnic to broaden global educational opportunities for its students.
