On December 23, 2025, the BNU Center for Policy Research hosted Hon. Shafqat Mehmood, Former Federal Minister for Education, under its Pakistan Talks Series, for a thought-provoking dialogue titled “What is Your Pakistan?”, engaging students, faculty, and policymakers in critical reflection on national challenges and future directions.

On November 26, 2025, BCPR in collaboration with the Understanding China Forum (UCF) hosted a high-level policy dialogue in Islamabad titled “Redefining Regional Connectivity: Pakistan–China Friendship in the New Geo-Economic Paradigm”.

The BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR) organized a thought-provoking session under its Pakistan Talks Series titled “What is Your Pakistan?” featuring Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, Member of the National Assembly and Former Foreign Minister of Pakistan. The BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR) hosted a two-day Unity in Diversity Workshop-III, bringing together faculty, students, and partner institutions for meaningful dialogue on inclusivity. The workshop underscored how reflection and exchange can strengthen unity by embracing differences within academic and inter-university communities.

Beaconhouse National University took part in the first multi-stakeholder consultative workshop organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to help shape Pakistan’s National Strategy against Organized Crime.

At the 3rd Public Policy Conference organized by the National School of Public Policy, the Beaconhouse National University Center for Policy Research (BCPR) actively contributed to the national dialogue on pressing contemporary issues. The participation underscored BCPR’s commitment to advancing informed policy debates and addressing emerging challenges of national significance.

The BCPR team had the privilege of attending the launch of “South Asian Climate Diplomacy and Collective Risk Mitigation Strategies” by Abdul Waris Hameed at the University of Lahore on August 27, 2025. On June 2, 2025, following the “Pakistan–China Partnership” seminar, BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR) and the Understanding China Forum (UCF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic collaboration will facilitate joint research, dialogue, and initiatives focused on Chinese discourse and regional development, reinforcing academic ties and deepening bilateral partnerships.

The ceremony concluded with the symbolic handover of electric carts (E‑Carts) by Time CERAMICS to BNU. Notably, aligning with the university’s Green and Sustainability Initiative, this generous and purposeful gift supports eco-friendly campus transport, underscores shared environmental values, and advances sustainable development cooperation between Pakistan and China.

Faizi’s journey is a testament to resilience and advocacy, as she has dedicated her life to breaking societal barriers and championing equal rights for the transgender community in Pakistan.

On March 20, the BNU Center for Policy Research had the honor of hosting Mr. Ashis Ray for an insightful discussion on his book, The Trial That Shook Britain: How a Court Martial Hastened Acceptance of Indian Independence. A highly regarded British journalist and broadcaster of Indian origin, Mr. Ray has contributed to esteemed media organizations such as the BBC, CNN, and ITN over his four-decade career. He also served as CNN’s first South Asia bureau chief, covering pivotal moments in the region’s political history.

On March 11, 2025, the BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR) and the Department of Liberal Arts hosted “Diversity Talks” featuring Mr. Toseef Aslam, who shared his inspiring journey as a differently-abled individual. He highlighted the challenges he faced and how perseverance, support, and self-belief helped him overcome obstacles. On February 19, 2025, BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), in collaboration with the School of Media and Communication at BNU, organized a workshop under the 10th MCAP Conference titled "Effectively Using Trilateral Cooperation—Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China—to Promote Mutual Understanding and People-to-People Exchange."

On Tuesday, 14th May 2024, the BCPR invited the Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan, Ambassador Retd. Farukh Amil, to hold an insightful conversation with students from the Department of Liberal Arts at BNU about the importance of intellectual property rights.

The BNU-Centre for Policy Research, in collaboration with the Institute of Regional Studies in Islamabad, hosted a significant roundtable panel discussion focused on Pakistan-India relations on 5th July, 2024. The primary objective of the discussion was to explore pathways for engaging constructively with India.

The BNU Center for Policy Research conducted a panel discussion on “Managing Infrastructure and Energy Corridors for Economic and Climate Resilience” on Wednesday, June 26 2024. The panelists noted several key issues and challenges persisting in Pakistan and how CPEC phase 2 can help combat them, if the challenges are addressed in a systematic way with proper planning.

A panel discussion on “Mega Projects and Climate Change: Transnational Development Perspectives on BRI and B3W,” was also held in the afternoon of Friday April 26 2024 at BNU in collaboration with the BCPR and BNU’s Razia Hassan School of Architecture (RHSA).

On Friday, April 26, 2024, Beaconhouse National University's Centre for Policy Research (BCPR) proudly launched the policy paper titled "Setting Future Agenda of Pakistan-US Relations Around Trade, Investment, and Climate Change." Authored by Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan under the American Studies Initiative (ASI), this comprehensive document aims to guide and enhance bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the United States in key areas of mutual interest.

On Monday, May 20, 2024, BCPR and the China Studies Chair at BNU organized the "Panel Discussion to Take Stock of Pakistan-China Special Relationship from 1949-2024" to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
