We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Aruj Khaliq, an esteemed alumna of Beaconhouse National University's School of Education and a dedicated member of our visiting faculty. Aruj, who graduated in the Batch of 2022, was recently invited to be a field expert at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Conference 2023, held at Kinnaird College for Women University. Aruj shared the stage as a panel speaker alongside other industry leaders from academia, engaging in insightful discussions on the theme of "Whole School Approaches to Sustainability," with a specific focus on its scope in Pakistan. The audience was captivated by Aruj's insights, and many raised thoughtful questions about her "Education for Sustainable Development Toolkit," a project she had developed during her time at Beaconhouse National University's School of Education. Aruj's outstanding academic journey and her unwavering dedication to advancing sustainability education have received well-deserved recognition on an international scale. During the summer, she had the distinct honor of presenting a portion of her M.Phil research, conducted under the guidance and support of Dr. Qudsia Kalsoom and Dr. Naima at BNU's School of Education, at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. At the UNESCO Headquarters, Aruj led a captivating session where she introduced her innovative toolkit titled 'Becoming Sustainability Pedagogues.' This toolkit is designed to facilitate International Baccalaureate teacher development, with a specific focus on Whole School Approaches to Sustainability. Aruj's presentation not only showcased her expertise but also her deep commitment to promoting sustainability education on a global stage.
