Zeeshan Sarwar, Assistant Professor at RHSA-BNU, is an architect and academic with expertise in housing, urban design, and architectural pedagogy. His work spans large-scale projects, international conferences, and publications on habitation, cultural narratives, and sustainable architecture.
Zeeshan Sarwar is an accomplished architect and academic with over a decade of experience in architectural education and professional practice. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Raiha Hasan School of Architecture (RHSA), Beaconhouse National University (BNU), where he has been a part of the faculty since 2013. Zeeshan holds both a Bachelor of Architecture (with Honors) and a Master of Architecture (with Distinction) from BNU, reflecting his deep academic roots and dedication to architectural excellence.
His academic interests lie in design pedagogy, housing research, and the cultural narratives embedded in built environments. As a practicing architect, Zeeshan brings rich industry insights into the classroom, having worked on a diverse portfolio of large-scale residential, industrial, and commercial projects across Pakistan. These include factory complexes, office buildings, and high-end residences, executed in collaboration with firms such as Architecture House and Shahzaib Construction. Notably, his contributions span developments in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Beyond the classroom and the drawing board, Zeeshan is actively engaged in research and has presented at several international conferences, including the International City Planning and Urban Design Conference and the International Architectural Design Conference in Istanbul. His published works include “Water Tanks of Lahore” (THAAP, 2017) and “The Language of Habitation” (AMPS, 2021), focusing on urban evolution and meaningful dwelling. He is a member of PCATP and serves as an executive member of the National Platform for Housing Research. Zeeshan’s professional and academic contributions continue to intersect through participation in design competitions, national workshops, and collaborative housing projects, emphasizing socially responsive and sustainable design.
