Bio

Haider Ali Jan is a distinguished visual artist who completed his Bachelor's in Visual Arts from Beaconhouse National University (BNU) in 2008. Currently serving as the Program Head of Foundation Studies at BNU, he has made significant contributions to contemporary art through his exhibitions and research.

He has participated in numerous prestigious exhibitions and film festivals worldwide, showcasing his work at major art biennials and triennials. Notable exhibitions include the 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennial at the Asian Art Museum, Japan (2014), Asia Triennial Pacific 8 at the Queensland Art Gallery (2015), New Wight Biennial at UCLA Department of Art (2016), 5th Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland in Romania (2018), and the 5th Moscow International Biennial for Young Art (2016). His work has also been featured at prominent film festivals such as Love, War and Longings at the Harvard-Brown Pakistani Film Festival in Cambridge (2015), Experiments in Cinema Festival v14.2 in Albuquerque, USA (2019), and the Shared Site International Short Film Festival in Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2017).

Haider Ali Jan’s artistic practice has been recognized in academic and literary circles as well. His work is featured in The Eye Still Seeks: Pakistani Contemporary Art, written by Salima Hashmi and published by Penguin India, highlighting his impact on Pakistan’s evolving art landscape.
