Bio

Fahad Mehmood is a Pakistani architect and academic, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Razia Hassan School of Architecture, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from BNU (2013–2018), where his early exposure to design thinking shaped his multidisciplinary approach to architecture and planning. Furthering his expertise, he pursued a postgraduate degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore (2021–2022), equipping him with a deeper understanding of urban dynamics and development frameworks.

Fahad is a registered member of the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP), with registration number A-06677. His professional trajectory spans academia, design studios, and interdisciplinary creative roles. As a Visiting Lecturer at the Institute for Art & Culture (SADU) and Studio Architect at RHSA-BNU, he has consistently merged pedagogical insight with practical application. His academic involvement reflects a strong commitment to mentoring the next generation of architects in both architectural design and urban planning contexts.

Beyond academia, Fahad has worked with leading design firms, including Metropolitan Studio of Architecture (MSA), Lahore, where he contributed as a Set Designer. His creative flair also earned him the role of Art Director and Set Designer for Nescafé Basement Season 5 at Trigram Studio, demonstrating his ability to blend architecture with media and performance arts. His project portfolio includes notable works like the Incubation Center for Startups at Fatima Ventures and bespoke residential designs like Villa S & T.

Fahad has also contributed to sustainability-focused initiatives, notably the Second Zero Carbon Workshop for Astana, a collaboration between PCATP and the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan, held as part of the World Architecture Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan. His ability to integrate sustainable practices, urban policy insights, and spatial innovation makes him a versatile figure in both professional and academic circles of contemporary architecture in Pakistan.
