Dr. Syed Ali Raza is a Business Information Systems GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) strategist with over twenty years of experience, well-versed across the breadth of business systems design, development, implementation, post development reviews, and Business-IT Alignment. He holds a PhD in Electronic Payment Transaction Systems Security from the UK. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Governance Risk and Compliance Professional (GRCP).With a proven track record of completing complex enterprise-wide state-of-the-art projects, further focusing on developing and improving GRC landscape both at technical and processes levels, etc., Dr. Ali Raza has formerly served Citibank Head Office London as Technical Adviser for the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) Region. He has also served Deloitte UK on highly prestigious clients, along with his services at Allied Bank Ltd as Head of Information Security & Governance, Head of Project Management, and Head of Technology Compliance, and was on the bank’s eVision Committee primarily responsible for setting technology-driven strategic direction of the bank. He has also served Bank AL Habib as Head of Technology Risk and Head of IT Governance.He was on the faculty at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He is currently serving as a Scholar of Practice at the BNU's School of Management Sciences.
