Faraz Ghayoor Obaid, a distinguished alumnus of Beaconhouse National University's Razia Hassan School of Architecture, was honored with the esteemed BNU Alumni Excellence Award. In his testimony, Faraz reflected on his journey, expressing gratitude for the invaluable education and support he received during his time at Beaconhouse National University. He joined the Razia Hassan School of Architecture in 2018, where he consistently showcased exceptional dedication and talent. Throughout his academic tenure, Faraz earned spots on the Dean's Honors List and graduated with the gold medal, distinguished for his outstanding thesis project titled “A New Brick Morphology”. Even before completing his degree, Faraz embarked on his professional journey, beginning at Raza Zahid Ateliers for six months. His remarkable skills and commitment soon led him to secure a position at DP Architects in Dubai. During his 2.5-year tenure at DPA, Faraz made significant contributions to renowned projects, including the DIFC Masterplan for Emaar and expansions of the Dubai Mall, encompassing the Fashion Avenue, Boulevard, and Zabeel expansions. In 2016, Faraz returned to Pakistan to join his father's firm, Ghayyoor Obaid Architects, where he worked alongside his brother. Together, they spearheaded the expansion of the team from three to ten members, undertaking a diverse array of projects spanning residential houses, malls, apartment buildings, and office towers. Faraz Ghayoor Obaid's remarkable achievements and contributions to the field of architecture exemplify the caliber of talent nurtured at Beaconhouse National University. His success serves as an inspiration to current and future students, showcasing the limitless possibilities that await those who pursue excellence in their chosen field.
