BNU hosted Indian Peace Activist, Mr. O.P. Shah
Beaconhouse National University (BNU) hosted Indian Peace Activist, Mr. Om Prakash Shah on March 15, 2018 . Mr. Kulkarni graced an interactive session on the topic of “Regional Peace and Cooperation” alongside Member Board of Governors BNU, Mr. Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri and Vice Chancellor BNU, Mr. Shahid Hafiz Kardar.
In his talk, Mr. O.P. Shah focused on different aspects of Pak-India relationships. He advocated the need for uninterrupted peace between Pakistan and India and insisted that India needs to engage with Pakistan in dialogue and collaborate on every level. He stressed upon the need of dialogue, cultural exchange and people-to-people contact between the two countries.
Deans, faculty members and students from different departments of BNU were present on the occasion.
Mr. Om Prakash Shah is an Indian social, peace activist, political analyst and track II diplomat. He hails from Kolkata, West Bengal and is the Former Editor of Parlance, member of Press Council of India and Former District Governor of Lions Clubs International. He serves as the Chairman of Center for Peace & Progress (CPP). CPP has organized many events to promote communal harmony, national integration and better relations between India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. CPP also has organized many events and conferences on Jammu and Kashmir.
