SVAD’s graduate Farrukh Adnan’s work featured on Emergent Art Space

Our alumnus of MA Art & Design Studies, Farrukh Adnan's thesis project "My Perch, My Hometown", has been featured on Emergent Art Space, a platform for young artists across the globe.

Farrukh Adnan completed his Masters degree in Art in Design Studies from Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD), BNU, in 2014. His thesis work was about a genealogical as well as personal examination of the Southern Punjab’s city of Tulamba, where he was born.

Emergent Art Space refers to his work, as "Pakistani artist Farrukh Adnan goes into depth in a geographical, historical, and personal exploration of his hometown, Tulamba, recreating its richness and mysteries in the huge installation ‘My Perch, My Hometown’, which was part of his Master’s thesis at the Beaconhouse National University in Lahore."

Farrukh has done group exhibitions in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad and has exhibited twice in “Voice Breaking Boundaries,’’ in Houston, USA. He has also worked for the Imago Mundi Project.
